The India International Travel Mart commenced in Hyderabad on Thursday (December 4), bringing together national and international tourism stakeholders for a three-day exhibition designed to boost collaboration, promote destinations and expand business opportunities in the travel sector.

The event, which runs from December 4 to 6 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre, was inaugurated by Managing Director of the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) Valluru Kranthi.

Speaking at the inaugural session, Ms. Kranthi said that more than 25 Indian States and about 10 countries are taking part in this year’s edition, alongside a wide range of hospitality partners. She noted that the government has set up a Telangana Tourism pavilion to highlight the State’s cultural and historical destinations.

Ms Kranthi added that a key attraction this year is the introduction of customisable tour packages. Visitors can choose their preferred itinerary based on their interests, and the Tourism department will curate the package accordingly.
