A Government Railway Police (GRP) head constable has been suspended for assaulting and thrashing a physically disabled person for sitting on the platform floor at the Nagda Junction railway station in Madhya Pradesh, officials said.

The incident took place on Tuesday (December 2, 2025). A passenger sitting in a train recorded a video of the assault and shared it on X. The video shows the GRP head constable dragging and pushing the youth, who was sitting on the platform floor, and then kicking him several times. The youth can then be seen limping while walking away.

Suspended

Acting on the X user’s post, the Railway Protection Force, Western Railway, analysed the CCTV footage of the platform and alerted the GRP, Indore.

Padmavilochan Shukla, Superintendent of Police, GRP, Indore, said that the culprit was identified as GRP head constable Maan Singh, posted at Nagda.

Mr. Shukla issued orders to suspend Mr. Singh for violating Madhya Pradesh Police Regulation Rules and for tarnishing the force’s image.
