In spite of heavy rains across South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Ministers actively participated in NTR Bharosa social security pension disbursements to the beneficiaries in Prakasam, SPSR Nellore, and Tirupati districts on Monday morning.

Minister for Endowments Anam Ramanarayana Reddy distributed pensions at Gandhi Janasangham Tribal Colony in Sangam mandal of Nellore district. Despite heavy rain, he personally went to the houses of each beneficiary in the area to give pensions.

He said that pensions ranging from ₹4,000 to ₹15,000 are being provided to the beneficiaries. He said that ₹133.32 crore is being spent on 3.06 lakh people in Nellore district alone, and ₹16.18 crore on 36,937 people in Atmakur Constituency.

Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Dr. Ponguru Narayana took up pension distribution programme at 11 division of Nellore city on Monday morning and inquired about the welfare of the pensioners.

He reminded that pensions worth ₹34,000 crore are being provided to 68 lakh people across the State and 90% of pensions are distributed in a single day. Later, he distributed CM Relief Fund cheques at his camp office. As part of this, 55 persons were given cheques worth ₹41.52 lakh.

Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar participated in the pension distribution programme at Yeleswarapalem in Mailavaram Gram Panchayat under Addanki Constituency and handed over pensions to beneficiaries at their doorsteps.

Later, the Minister distributed 162 free bicycles to students at Mailavaram Zilla Parishad High School. He appreciated NREDCAP and ASSIST organisations for supporting the initiative and announced that ASSIST has come forward to extend the programme across Addanki Constituency.

So far, over 5,300 free bicycles have been provided to students in the region to ensure they attend school regularly. Interacting with students, he said that the government is upgrading government schools to compete with private institutions.

Minister for Social Welfare Dr. Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy distributed pensions to the beneficiaries at Sivapuram village under Mallavarappadu Panchayat in Tanguturu mandal of Prakasam district. He said that ₹2.86 lakh per month is being given to 69 people in the village.

Minister for Revenue and Tirupati District In-charge Minister Anagani Satya Prasad distributed pensions at Jeevakona in the temple town along with local MLA Arani Srinivasulu, Collector Dr. S. Venkateswar, and Municipal Commissioner N. Maurya.

He said that nearly ₹51,000 crore has been distributed in the form of pensions across the State during the last 17 months, and that about ₹113 crore is being provided to 2.62 lakh people per month in Tirupati district, which is a testament to the government’s commitment to the people.
