After both leaders agreed to refrain from making statements on the power-sharing in the State, round-two of breakfast meeting between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy D.K. Shivakumar is to be held on Tuesday (December 2), this time at the latter’s residence in Bengaluru.

Mr. Shivakumar termed the breakfast meeting with Mr Siddaramaiah as a matter “between brothers”, stressing that there was no groupism within the Congress government.

Speaking to reporters here, the KPCC president said they would continue to meet often, much like the meeting on Tuesday.

When asked about the breakfast meeting at the KPCC president’s residence, the Chief Minister said Mr. Shivakumar had invited him to his residence on December 2. “If I am called, I will go,” Mr Siddaramaiah said.

The two leaders held the first round of breakfast meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, Cauvery, on Saturday (November 29, 2025) following the directions of the party high command. Both of them agreed to abide by the decision taken by the central leaders of the party on the sharing of power and the rotational chief minister’s post.

After winter session

Mr. Shivakumar said there was no plan to visit Delhi as of now. Congress sources said that the high command is likely to ask both leaders to visit the national capital after the end of the Winter session of the Parliament, which is expected to conclude on December 19. By then, the winter session of the State legislature in Belagavi would have also ended.

The Congress top brass is expected to hold talks with both leaders on a whole lot of issues in the State Congress, including leadership change in the government, a cabinet reshuffle and appointment of a new chief to the Karnataka Congress unit.
