Additional grants towards crop loss disbursed to farmers in Dharwad

Chief Minister Siddarmaiah has released additional grants to the tune of ₹63.77 crore towards disbursement of input subsidy of ₹6,500 per hectare to the farmers of Dharwad district.

According to a press release issued by Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad Divya Prabhu G.R.J., the Chief Minister has released the additional grants under special package for Dharwad district on Thursday and the same has been remitted directly to the farmers’ bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

As per the government order, the special package is for disbursement of ₹8,500 per hectare towards crop loss experienced by the farmers during August 2025.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, additional input subsidy of ₹63.88 crore has been immediately released towards crop loss in 74,989.57 hectares belonging to 66,834 eligible farmers through DBT. The details of the relief received by the farmers in various taluk is as follows.

In Annigeri taluk, 12,127 farmers have received input subsidy of ₹11.93 crore and in Dharwad taluk 12,643 farmers received ₹11.40 crore. Similarly, 11,122 farmers received ₹11.85 crore in Hubballi taluk; 851 farmers received ₹66.01 lakh in Hubballi urban taluk; 11,208 farmers received ₹9.81 crore in Kundagol taluk and 18,883 farmers received ₹18.09 crore in Navalgund taluk.

According to Deputy Commissioner, already input subsidy of ₹64.98 crore released earlier had been disbursed to 66.834 farmers as per NDRF and SDRF guidelines towards crop loss in 74,989.57 hectares in Dharwad district.
