Twenty-six passengers had a miraculous escape after a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus overturned when its steering rod broke at Tuggali in the early hours of Saturday (November 29, 2025).
The bus, which was heading to Bengaluru from Mantralayam, veered off the road at high speed and plunged into roadside fields and overturned.
A few passengers received minor superficial injuries. Police have registered a case and are probing the mechanical failure.
