SIT arrests TTD procurement officer in ghee case

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Tirumala laddu ghee case has arrested Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) General Manager (Procurement) R.V. Subrahmanyam in connection with the temple body’s past procurement practices.

With this, the total number of persons arrested by the SIT—headed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and constituted on the Supreme Court’s directions—has risen to 10.

Following the arrest, Mr. Subrahmanyam was taken to Sri Venkateswara Ramnarain Ruia Government General Hospital (SVRRGGH) for a mandatory medical examination. He will be produced before the ACB court in Nellore
