AP-Genco Managing Director and A.P. State Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM) CEO S. Nagalakshmi has urged all major energy-consuming sectors, industries, institutions, and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to take part in the State Energy Conservation Awards (SECA) 2025 and demonstrate their commitment to conservation, efficiency, and climate‑responsible practices.

In a press release, she said that eligible organisations can submit applications through the portal by December 5. She noted that the awards aim to promote healthy competition among major energy users and recognise organisations that have made notable progress in energy management, adoption of efficient technologies, and reduction of carbon emissions.

Thermal power plants and cement units with annual energy consumption of 30,000 Metric Tonnes of Oil Equivalent (MTOE) or more, pharmaceutical industries consuming over 1,000 MTOE annually, engineering colleges with a connected load of 50 kW and above, and hotels with the same load threshold are eligible to participate.

APSRTC depots and bus stands, municipalities, and urban development authorities have also been invited to present their energy‑saving initiatives.
