Samsung, in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI), has launched ‘DigiArivu – Empowering Students Through Tech’, an initiative to strengthen digital and STEM education in select government schools in Tamil Nadu.
Through this initiative, the electronics giant offers to upgrade infrastructure in 10 government schools in Kancheepuram and Ranipet districts to enable STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and digital learning. The company also plans to train teachers and support holistic student development. A press release stated that the company would provide sports kit to students, set up libraries with Tamil, English, and competitive examination books, offer career guidance to Class XII students, and organise health awareness camps. Over 3,000 students are expected to be benefitted from the programme.
