The Chenchus of Nallamala forest ranges will get free ‘Sparsha Darshan’ of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam for one day a month. Identity cards will be given to the Chenchus to avail of the facility, provided by the temple management.

As part of the propagation of the Hindu dharma, the Srisailam temple management had been facilitating free participation of the Chenchus in various rituals and during festival days like `Varalakshmi Vratam’.

A temple trust board meeting was held on Wednesday under the leadership of chairperson Potugunta Ramesh Naidu, Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao and trust board members.

Announcing the details, Mr. Ramesh Naidu said it was decided to organise Makara Sankranti Brahmotsavams from January 12, 2026 to January 18, 2026. “The festivities will be held in a grand manner and all necessary arrangements will be made. All steps will be taken to ensure that the visiting devotees are not put to any inconvenience,” Mr. Ramesh Naidu said.

It was also decided to give free laddus to Sparsha Darshan and Atisheegra Darshan ticket holders from December 1. Two laddus of 100 gram each will be given to Sparsha Darshan (₹500) ticket holders while one laddu of 100 gram will be given to Atisheegra Darshan (₹300) ticket holders. “A separate coupon will be given along with the ticket for getting the free laddu. The coupon should be handed over at the special counter to get the laddu. A special software has been developed to maintain transparency,” he said.

Mr. Ramesh Naidu said it was also decided to place complaints and suggestions box at various places in the temple town for the devotees to give their feedback and steps will be taken to resolve them. Further, more digital boards will be set up at various places to disseminate information regarding the temple and temple town. Similarly, help kiosks will also be arranged at important places in the temple town to provide information to the visiting devotees. These kiosks will be managed by `Siva Sevaks’ voultary service.

Mr. Ramesh Naidu said Sri Kolanu Bharati Saraswati Temple in Sivapuram village of Kottapalli mandal of Nandyal district will be taken over by the Srisailam temple as per government orders.
