A woman was reportedly found dead in the Cauvery River near Betsoge in the Arkalgud taluk of Hassan district on Sunday.
The victim allegedly jumped into the river along with her one-year-old daughter on Friday, November 14.
The deceased has been identified as Mahadevi, 29, a native of Saligrama in Mysuru district. She married Kumar three years ago.
The woman made a video statement stating that her husband harassed constantly and threatened her family members.
The Konanur Police, who registered the case, said that the woman’s body had been found. However, the baby had been missing since then. They have taken up the investigation based on the complaint filed by her family members.
