The ongoing Gandhi Shilp Bazaar, showcasing a wide range of handicrafts and handloom products at JSS Mysuru Urban Haat in Hebbal, has been drawing art enthusiasts.

Nearly 50 stalls have been set up that offer traditional craft items directly from artisans representing various States.

The handcrafted products are the main highlight of the expo, enabling customers to purchase items directly from artisans at affordable prices.

Among the attractions are clay artefacts and terracotta works created by Halesh from Ramanagara district. His pottery, including clay pots and decorative designs, has been receiving an encouraging response, a press release said.

Equally captivating is the metal craftwork of Pusharam Ramawat from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, whose crafted pieces have been drawing the attention of craft enthusiasts. The stall of Shobharani from Venkatagiri, Andhra Pradesh, displaying exquisite Kalamkari sarees, is also attracting visitors.

The expo features a diverse range of traditional products, including wood carvings from Karnataka, the famous Channapatna dolls, paintings and decorative artworks, Kanjivaram silk sarees from Tamil Nadu, jute-based decorative wear, wall hangings, and handcrafted carpets made by artisans from Delhi.

The exhibition will go on till November 20 and will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., the release said.
