Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy extended National Press Day greetings and underscored the critical role of journalists in the era of artificial intelligence.

“Journalists are the bridge between the government and the people. In this AI age, your responsibility to separate truth from misinformation and deliver credible news is more crucial than ever,” he said while addressing the journalists and their families at a get-together organised by the Press Club Hyderabad.

He noted that journalists often work long, hectic hours with limited time for family, and said seeing them with their families brought him “great joy.” He said the representation seeking permanent allotment of the Press Club premises would be taken to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Cultural performances by Vimalakka, Nalgonda Gaddar, and singer Mangli captivated the crowd, with songs dedicated to the Minister drawing enthusiastic applause. Press Club president S Vijay Kumar Reddy expressed gratitude to Minister Venkat Reddy for his support to media professionals, recalling his assistance to families of journalists in distress.
