Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve on Thursday (November 13, 2025) accused Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of protecting Parth Pawar, the son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, claiming that DCM “offered to resign” from office when the land sale case caused a controversy.

“The Mahayuti government has been doing everything to shield the Pawar duo, instead of taking strict action against the Parth, filing the case in the Pune land deal. I also got to know that Ajit Pawar angrily offered to resign and extend support from outside in the meeting held at CM’s official residence- ‘Varsha’,” said Mr. Danve, adding Parth Pawar should not be treated as a kid, who also contested in Lok Sabha elections, and without the intervention of the CM, he cannot be saved.

With Mr. Danve’s remarks, the controversy re-ignited around the Pune land sale deal in which Parth Pawar’s company, Amadea Enterprises LLP, allegedly bought Rs . 1800 crore worth of 40-acre government land for Rs. 300 crore. After the irregularities in the deal surfaced, Ajit Pawar announced that the land sale deed was revoked, saying Parth had no idea of the government’s ownership of the land.

Mr. Danve also alleged that the BJP wanted to exploit the land deal case against its ally, the NCP, saying, “The BJP is preparing the file on the case as they had prior knowledge and wanted to use it when things would go wrong. He called such an incident reflects the BJP’s “criminal mentality” to control political figures.

The former Leader of Opposition in the state legislative council, Mr. Danve, also criticised Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, saying the minister and his state revenue department had a difference of opinion concerning the stamp duty on the deal. He was referring to the statement of Mr. Bawankule, where he stated that he would ask the department for an explanation on the double stamp duty of the Rs 42 crore payment notification sent to the Amadea company.

Calling Mr. Bawankule’s statement “wrong”, Mr. Danve said, “The department has been directed to pay the duty even if the transaction is canceled, as action was taken on the unpaid stamp duty. As per the sale deed document, the company paid only Rs . 500 stamp duty on the deal.

Responding to allegations of Ajit Pawar’s resignation, Mr. Bawakule dismissed the claims, saying, “It is completely a lie as I was present at Varsha Bungalow during that meeting.”
