Actors Prakash Raj and Vijay Deverakonda have been summoned by the Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) to appear for questioning on Tuesday (November 11, 2025), in connection with an ongoing probe into online betting applications.

According to officials, both actors were directed to appear before the CID at 3 p.m. today. A senior CID official confirmed that the summons relate to a separate case currently under investigation by the agency.

The development follows a series of arrests made by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Telangana, in coordination with the CID, during raids conducted across six locations in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Punjab. The joint operation led to the arrest of eight organisers and the seizure of crucial digital evidence linked to the betting network.

It coincides with the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) into promotional campaigns that allegedly disguised unregulated gambling apps as entertainment or charity-linked initiatives.
