National conference of Canara Bank officers association held in Vizag

The 20th triennial national conference of Canara Bank Officers Association was held in Visakhapatnam on Saturday (November 8). The association, which has a membership of 50,000, is headed by K. Ravikumar as the general secretary.

The inaugural function of the conference was attended by K. Satyanarayana Raju, managing director and CEO of Canara Bank, as the chief guest. Addressing the event, Mr. Satyanarayana Raju said that Canara Bank, one of the largest banks in the public sector, plays an important role in the progress of the country by providing exceptional services to its customers.

He praised the role of Canara Bank Officers Association in the development of Canara Bank. At this event, a book on Satyanarayana Raju’s life was released by his mother, Rama Seetha.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ravikumar said the officers would adopt the guidelines laid down by Canara Bank to achieve the $5-trillion economy target set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He thanked Mr. Satyanarayana Raju for meeting the demands of the association and contributing to the welfare, advancement and development of Canara Bank officers.

The bank’s executive director Hardeep Singh Ahluwalia, Vijayawada circle general manager Vijayalakshmi, committee chairperson Rama Prasad, association representatives and officials from across the country participated in the event in large numbers.
