TDP State president warns of stringent action against leaders bringing disrepute to party

TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao has said the behaviour of some leaders is bringing disrepute to the party, and has warned that stringent action will be taken against those who fail to change their ways.

Also, he has expressed dissatisfaction that the grievance redress programmes are not being held in the constituencies as desired.

Speaking to important leaders from across the State through a tele-conference on Wednesday, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the TDP was known for its discipline, and it would not take the misconduct of anyone lightly, as otherwise the party’s image would be tarnished and it loses credibility.

The leaders who were cautioned against their bad behaviour should fall in line, or face action, he reiterated, stressing the need to continue doing the good work, which earned a decisive mandate for the TDP-Jana Sena Party-BJP alliance.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the appointments of committees from the village level to the constituencies must be completed before November 15. Leaders tasked with forming the committees should appear before the party nation president and Chief Minister and tender explanations in the event of their failure to finish the job assigned to them.

Further, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said negligence in organising grievance redress programmes in the constituencies was glaring. “If these programmes are being conducted as per the mandate given to the leaders, why will the Praja Darbar held by IT Minister Nara Lokesh on November 4 have such huge attendance,” he questioned, and advised the party leaders to take government programmes to the people and stay in regular touch with the people.

They should also effectively counter the false propaganda unleashed by the YSR Congress Party, Mr. Srinivasa Rao added.
