M.K. Muneer, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader and Koduvally MLA, was admitted to Meitra Hospital in Kozhikode, Kerala, on Thursday (September 11, 2025) after suffering a cardiac arrest caused by hypokalemia, a dangerously low level of potassium in the blood.

Sources said prompt medical intervention by a multi-disciplinary team saved Dr. Muneer’s life, and he is currently being treated in the critical care unit.

While his condition remains critical, hospital authorities confirm that he is stable and responding positively to treatment.

Dr. Jijo V. Cherian, Medical Director of Meitra Hospital, confirmed that Dr. Muneer is under close supervision and receiving appropriate care.
