Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh held his 70th consecutive Praja Darbar at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri on Tuesday, drawing citizens and party workers from across Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Lokesh interacted with visitors, patiently listening to their appeals and issuing on-the-spot directions to officials. He reiterated that the coalition government is fully committed to protecting citizens’ rights and ensuring justice for all.

Complaints received during the programme included false cases and land grabbing during the previous YSRCP regime, encroachment of ancestral lands, and unjust job terminations. Mr. Lokesh assured each petitioner that the government would investigate their cases and deliver justice swiftly.

Representatives of the Unemployed Paramedical Health Assistants (Male) Association urged the Minister to fill pending vacancies in the Health Department. Delegates from the Nallamala Chenchu Welfare Association sought new schools for tribal and forest regions, while members of the Power Employees Union requested regularisation of 23,500 contract workers in GENCO, TRANSCO, and DISCOMs. Mr. Lokesh said all such demands would be examined carefully.

Requests for Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) medical aid, a new government junior college in Chittoor, and action against illegal land encroachments in Vijayawada Rural were also received.

Reaffirming his open-door policy, Mr. Lokesh said such people-oriented forums would continue to ensure transparent governance and timely grievance redressal across the State.
