The indiranagar police are on the lookout for a man for allegedly sexually harassing a 33-year-old woman who was on a morning walk.

The woman lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the man performed an obscene act in public, and attempted to sexually harass her near Doopanahalli, Indiranagar, on November 1.

According to the complaint, the alleged incident took place around 11.57 a.m.

The woman was walking near Wind Chimes Apartment on 5th Main Road, 2nd Stage, Domlur, when an unidentified man approached her, exposed himself and began masturbating in public. Shocked by the act, she immediately ran towards her house for safety.

She told the police that the accused was around 30 years old, dark-complexioned, was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

The woman informed her neighbour and later narrated the incident to her friend who suggested filing a complaint.

The police have registered a case of obscene act in public, sexual harassment, and intention to outrage the modesty of a woman. Efforts are on to trace the man based on the description provided by the complainant.

Actor alleges sexual harassment

In another incident, a Telugu and Kannada television actor filed a sexual harassment complaint against a man who allegedly sent obscene messages and videos to her on Facebook. Acting swiftly on the complaint, the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police arrested the accused, identified as Naveen, on November 1.

According to the police, nearly three months ago, the accused sent a friend request to the actress using the Facebook ID ‘NAVEENZ’. When she did not accept it, he began sending her vulgar messages through Messenger.

Despite the actress warning him to stop, the accused allegedly continued to send obscene content, including explicit photos and videos of his private parts, from multiple fake accounts after being blocked.

The actress, who has acted in several Kannada and Telugu serials, decided to meet the accused near Nandan Palace, Nagarabhavi, around 11.30 a.m. on November 1, to warn him in person. However, when the harassment resumed soon after, she approached the police and filed a complaint.

Based on her complaint, the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police registered a case under relevant sections of the law relating to sexual harassment and obscene acts in electronic communication.
