District Collector M.N. Harendira Prasad has directed the officials concerned to make the parks and tourist spots more attractive. As part of the CII Partnership Summit scheduled to be organised in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15, many delegates from India and abroad would visit the city and might tour local tourist destinations, he said, and directed the officials to take appropriate measures. In the process of identifying a location for the ‘Gala Dinner’ to the delegates, which is likely to be hosted on November 13, the Collector visited several parks, including VMRDA Park, MGM Park, Sea Harriers, TU-142 Aircraft Museum, Submarine Museum, and Tenneti Park. He reviewed the conditions at each site and discussed with officials the feasibility of arranging the dinner and other activities at these venues. The Collector examined several aspects such as parking, suitable areas for cultural programmes etc. He instructed the officials to undertake necessary development works, repairs, tree plantation, and beautification activities wherever required. VMRDA Chief Engineer Vinay Kumar, SE Bhavani Shankar, and other officials were present.
