Kudumbashree Vision Building-2025, a two-day workshop organised with the aim of providing jobs to two lakh persons as part of the second phase of a Kudumbashree job campaign, ended here on Saturday with an action plan to enhance women’s participation in the labour force.

The activities for this financial year will be planned on the basis of the plan.

The workshop also came up with ideas that will help develop a pro-employment vision and activities for the next five years.

The ideas will not only be used for the job campaign but future activities too.

Vijnana Keralam advisor T.M. Thomas Isaac spoke about the framework for the activities to be implemented as part of the job campaign.

New job opportunities will be categorised into 13 sectors under the campaign. The workshop gave rise to many ideas for enterprises that could come up in the Kudumbashree’s main livelihood areas of agriculture, animal husbandry, and microenterprises. These include agri tourism, adventure tourism, highway beautification, Haritha Karma Sena units for tourism sector, labour facilitation centres, digital marketing by Kudumbashree auxiliary group members, multi-generation care clusters for looking after people right from children to the elderly.

Ideas have also been received for providing better livelihoods to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe youth and auxiliary group members.

Increased emphasis will be given to Santhwana Mithram scheme for training 50,000 women Statewide and deploying them as care givers. The K4Care scheme will be given a boost.
