The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has reclaimed an open space admeasuring 4,000 square yards allotted for colony park at Doctors’ Colony of Chowdaryguda in Pocharam Municipality on Saturday.

Plot owners of the 26.9 acre layout attempted to encroach the site, as complained by the welfare association representatives who approached HYDRAA seeking action. Upon inspection, HYDRAA learnt that the land allotted for park had been divided and sub-divided into 20 plots through multiple transactions. The issue reached the High Court too with no resolution, a statement from HYDRAA informed.

After completion of inquiry, the officials confirmed it as the land allocated for colony park, and removed the encroachments before installing sign boards indicating it as government land.
