Kurnool bus fire accident | List of 23 passengers who escaped; one canceled journey before boarding

Telangana’s Gadwal District administration on Friday afternoon gave details of 23 passengers – on the private bus which met with fire accident in Kurnool in the early hours on Friday (October 24, 2025) – who escaped; they are either undergoing treatment or escaped without any injuries, and are safe. Another passenger, Tarun (27), canceled the journey before boarding the bus.

1. Manempally Satyaranayana (27) from Sathupally, Khammam. He is undergoing treatment at Government General Hospital in Kurnool
2. Badanthra Jaya Surya (24) from Miyapur of Hyderabad in Telangana, undergoing treatment at Government General Hospital in Kurnool
3. Andoj Naveen Kumar 26) from Hayatnagar, Hyderabad, undergoing treatment
4. Saraswati Harika (30) from Bengaluru, undergoing treatment at Government General Hospital in Kurnool
5. Nelakurthi Ramesh (36) from Dataluru Mandal, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. He suffered from minor injuries and is safe
6. Srilakshmi (Nelakurthi Ramesh’s wife), Jaswitha (8) and Abhira (1 year 8 months) are safe and with family members in Kurnool
7. Kapar Ashok (27), Telangana, safe and headed to Hyderabad
8. Musaluri Sriharsha (25), Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, injured and undergoing treatment at Kurnool GGH 
9. Punupatti Keethi (28), S.R. Nagar, Hyderabad of Telangana, discharged and reached Hyderabad
10. Venugopal Reddy (24), Telangana, reached Hyderabad after taking treatment
11. M.G. Ramreddy, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, reached Hyderabad after taking treatment
12. Ashwin Reddy, not injured and safe at accident site
13. Aakash was not injured and is safe
14. Jayant Kushal, Madya Pradesh, works in Hyderabad. He is safe
15. Pankaj Prajapati, not injured and is safe
16. Guna Sai, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, minor injuries, undergoing treatment
17. Shiva, not injured, reached Bengaluru
18. Gloria Elsa Sam, not injured, reached Bengaluru
19. Charith (21), Bengaluru, safe and reached Bengaluru
20. Mohammed Khizer (51), Bengaluru, safe and reached Bengaluru
21. Gantasala Subramayam (36), Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, undergoing treatment at Aakash Hospital

The district administration also gave details of the two drivers.

1. Lakshmaiah, from Palnadu district, who was driving the bus when it met with the accident. He is absconding from the site after the accident
2. Shivanarayana, Prakasam district, spare driver. He is currently in police custody
