Twenty20 announces 25 candidates for local body polls

The Twenty20 party on Tuesday announced 25 candidates for the forthcoming local body elections in Ernakulam.

A meeting of the party executive committee at Kizhakkambalam held on Tuesday announced the list of candidates for 21 wards in Kizhakkambalam grama panchayat. The candidates for three divisions in Vazhakkulam block panchayat and Vengola division in the Ernakulam district panchayat were also announced, according to a release.

Sabu M. Jacob, party president, said the list of candidates was finalised by ensuring 90% reservation for women. The party has completed its first round of campaigning involving posters, wall grafitti, and distribution of notices. Mango is the party symbol, the release said.
