The Eluru district police destroyed around 3,403 kg (3.4 tonnes) of ganja using eco-friendly technology. Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore said the seized ganja, recovered in 58 cases across Eluru district, was destroyed at the Jindal Urban Waste Management Centre in Guntur.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) N. Surya Chandra Rao, Jangareddygudem Deputy Superintendent of Police U. Ravi Chandra, and other officers took part in the operation.
