A Travelling Ticket Inspector (TTI) of South Coast Railway (SCoR) in the Vijayawada division, A.K. Naga Sudheer, demonstrated integrity by returning a passenger’s bag that contained gold ornaments and other valuables worth nearly ₹10 lakh.

The passenger who travelled in the B1 coach of Visakhapatnam-Bengaluru Cantt. Express train reportedly forgot to take his luggage bag and deboarded at Ongole railway station. Mr. Naga Sudheer, who was on duty, observed the unclaimed bag and handed it over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Vijayawada. The RPF returned the bag to the rightful owner after thorough verification two days ago, said SCoR Vijayawada division Public Relations Officer (PRO) Nusrat M. Mandrupkar in a press release on Tuesday.

The SCoR officials appreciated the sincerity and honesty of the TTI, which upholds the reputation of the Indian Railways, Ms. Nusrat said.
