Water Resources Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Monday said that he was not expecting any more portfolios to be given to him.
When asked by mediapersons about the speculation over he receiving additional portfolios, he told reporters: “I will not ask and I do not want more portfolios. There are others and 20 more Ministers are yet to be sworn in.” On asked if the high command had understood his “pain”, he refused to comment.
On the issue of Bengaluru development portfolio, which he earlier insisted on getting and sent his resignation to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, he said: “Even if they want to give it (now), I do not want. There was an issue and they asked me to take back my resignation.” Mr. Reddy also claimed that he had never lobbied either for Cabinet or portfolio. “I do not have contacts in Delhi. In the last three years I went to Delhi thrice and that too on official work.”
