Dense fog across Delhi and parts of northern India, which has led to widespread flight delays and cancellations, had a ripple effect on air traffic in the south, with Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) reporting four flight cancellations on Monday morning, December 15, 2025.

According to information shared by Hyderabad airport authorities, the cancellations included two departures and two arrivals. The affected flights were IndiGo services 6E 6907 from Hyderabad to Kolkata and 6E 6593 from Hyderabad to Ahmedabad, along with inbound flights 6E 6528 from Kolkata to Hyderabad and 6E 6594 from Ahmedabad to Hyderabad.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation issued an impact alert for northern India earlier in the day, warning passengers of significant visibility issues at Delhi and other airports in the region.

In a post on X at 8.49 a.m. “Before heading to the airport, please check the latest flight status with your airline Check flight information on the airport website/app. Please allow extra travel time. Safety is our top priority. Our teams and Air Traffic Control (ATC) are working tirelessly to minimise disruptions. Thank you for your patience and cooperation,” they said.
